A beaded knife sheath set attributed to the Blackfoot (Blackfeet) or related Plains tribes, likely originating from the Montana region and dating to circa 1900. The sheath is constructed of native-tanned hide and covered in red trade wool, decorated with seed beadwork in a geometric motif commonly associated with Crow and Northern Plains designs. The beadwork incorporates white, blue, green, and yellow glass beads arranged in a stepped, angular pattern along the border and panel. The sheath retains multiple tin cone drops with remnants of dyed hair, as well as a beaded suspension element terminating in hide ties. The materials and construction reflect a combination of indigenous craftsmanship and period trade elements. An attached tag, likely from a prior collection or institutional holding, supports the regional and cultural attribution but has not been independently verified. Accompanied by a trade knife with a forged blade and wooden handle secured by three brass rivets. The knife fits the sheath well and is presented together as a cohesive set.

Sheath and knife remain in overall good, displayable condition. Beadwork is largely intact with minor bead loss and light soiling consistent with age. Trade cloth shows wear and some edge fraying. Hide backing supple with expected age-related patina. Tin cone drops present with light oxidation. Knife exhibits surface oxidation and wear from use; handle secure.
