Well-made two-tone oval rank badge for a Captain of the Inglewood Police Department, featuring an architectural façade above the City of Inglewood seal dated 1908. The upper banner reads CAPTAIN, with INGLEWOOD and POLICE across the lower ribbons, and a two-star panel at the base denoting rank. Executed in gold and silver finishes with blue enameled lettering and accents, the reverse retains its black leatherette backing and applied rosette maker’s seal marked “ENTENMANN-ROVIN CO./GENUINE ‘CARLTONE GOLD’/‘PLATILOY SILVER’/PICO RIVERA, CALIF.” Entenmann-Rovin was a leading California law enforcement badge manufacturer during the mid-to-late 20th century.
