An iron bullet mold marked “COLT’S PATENT” and “36P,” denoting .36 caliber, intended for use with the Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver. Manufactured circa 1850–1860, this dual-cavity example casts both conical and round ball projectiles. Constructed of forged blued steel with integral sprue cutter and pivoting arms, the piece represents the standard bullet mold supplied with mid-19th century Colt percussion revolvers.
