.45 Colt. 7.5" barrel. SN: 50194. Blued and color casehardened finish, smooth walnut grip. Single action revolver with black powder frame, six-chambered fluted cylinder, frame notch rear sight, blade front sight and bullseye ejector rod head. Most parts with the H.N. mark of arsenal sub-inspector Henry Nettleton, but the markings are somewhat inconsistent in terms of font and style. One-line Hartford barrel address, three date in three line patent mark on lower left of frame, but no "US" mark is present on the frame. All visible numbers match, but some inconsistencies in number fonts are noted and the cylinder certainly appears to have been renumbered. Grip replaced, with no number in the cut out and indications of work to make the grip fit this grip frame. Grip with traces of an illegible cartouche on the left side. Grip strap with traces of nickel under the grip and bottom screw hole stripped out. "P" proof marks on cylinder and under barrel.

Pickup & Shipping: Free pickup in Gardnerville, NV. FedEx 2-Day Air shipping within the continental U.S.: $85 + 1.5% insurance (unless waived in writing). Combined shipping available.

Condition

Fair to Good as "restored". Bore good, with decent black powder rifling with moderate oxidation and some pitting. Metal with traces of an old applied blue finish, otherwise a pewter gray color. Metal polished, some marking weak and some traces of pitting present. Some parts appear to have been renumbered. Mechanically functional action. Grip sanded with some dings and mars.
