Pressed glass flask with an oval form and crosshatched diamond pattern to one side, the reverse inset with a sepia photographic label reading: “U.S. warship MAINE, Sank in Havana Harbor, February 15th 1898.” Bordered by patriotic red, white, and blue bands. Issued as a commemorative souvenir shortly after the loss of the USS Maine, a pivotal event leading to the Spanish-American War. Retains original metal screw cap.
