Finely carved ivory handle depicting a woman with long flowing hair and arms lifted behind her head, adorned with a detailed necklace and fitted bodice. The figure is crisply modeled and well-proportioned, characteristic of late 19th-century Continental workmanship. The ivory bust rests above a polished gold collar mounted at the top of the bone shaft, which features three carved-in decorative bands, the uppermost encircled by a second gold ring. The shaft is of smooth, naturally grained bone with an integral rounded bone ferrule. Dimensions approx.: 35.25 x 1.75 in. Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. Shipping via FedEx Ground/Home available within the continental U.S. for $100. All shipments include Direct Signature Required and full replacement value insurance at a rate of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless the buyer accepts full liability in writing. Combined lot shipping is typically discounted. Condition

Very good overall, with minor age hairlines to the ivory handle and warm, even toning to the bone shaft; gold mounts retain fine luster and light patina from age.
