Condition
The cane is in very good overall condition. The ivory handle shows a pleasing aged patina with some fine natural age lines and minor shrinkage, typical for antique ivory. No apparent losses to the intricate carving. The bamboo shaft is solid and retains a rich natural surface with slight wear commensurate with age and use. The metal ferrule is intact with minor dents and oxidation.
