French St. Etienne Double Barrel Shotgun, 12 Gauge, 27.5" barrels, serial number is 5770, action dated 1936. Finished blue with wood furniture. French 12 gauge shotgun, double barreled hammerless, marked “Maanufacture Francaise D’Armes Et Cycles De St. Etienne,” and “Fusil Robuste Brevete S.G.D.G.” The gun is pre-WWII, captured by the Germans and then surrendered to the Allies. It has engraving on the locks and breech, and a checkered stock. It also has an original sling that appears to be German, as well as a rubber shoulder pad. The gun is marked “No. 28” on the underside of the action. The rib between the barrels is patterned to make it less reflective. The breech is slightly over-sized, and appears to be reinforced, somewhat like a Parrot rifle. Dimensions: 44 ¼ inches long overall. This firearm is modern and must be shipped to a FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENCE HOLDER or a CURIO AND RELICS FFL HOLDER! Processing and shipping within the Continental US $125 . All FedEx packages are sent with Direct Signature Required and insured at full replacement value for a fee of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless buyer accepts complete liability in writing. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Condition

Overall, the gun is in very fine to excellent condition. The bores are a little dusty from long storage. The stock shows minor wear, and there is a small mark on the breech as if the gun had been dropped at some point. The action is excellent and crisp.
