German occupation FN Model 1922 pistol in .32 ACP. Has 4.25" barrel, Serial number 18511c, all match. Made circa 1940-1945. Finished blue with bakelite grips. Pistol and magazine have waffenampts, the magazine is also marked "7.65".
When the Germans occupied Belgium in 1940, they rather famously also took over FN and had them make guns for the german military. FN would supply over 400,000 Model 1922s, more than any other design. They made them in .380 acp "Pistole 641b" and .32 acp "Pistole 626b". The FN 1922 was the 3rd most common handgun in German service in World War II after P-38s and Lugers. Many were issued to luftwaffe personnel.
