A well-preserved “Golden Pheasant” gunpowder tin manufactured by Andrew Fountain & Co., likely dating to the late 19th century. The tin features a vividly lithographed label of two pheasants in a lush landscape. The body retains its original brown lacquer and threaded neck, though the cap is absent. A rarely seen California tin with attractive sporting imagery.
