Hi-Standard Model B .22 U.S. Issue training pistol. Has 4.5" barrel, serial number: 102353, circa: 1942. Finished blue with Bakelite grips.
These were purchased by the U.S. military to use as training pistols, the Navy had the largest number. Right side marked "Property of U.S." has Springfield mark below that. The top of the barrel also has small "Property of US" stamp. The current grips were likely added post war to make the piece more marketable as surplus. comes with a leather holster and spare magazine.
