Hopkins & Allen Folding Hammer double action revolver in .38, 3" barrel, serial number: 4309, circa 1890s. Nickel finish with hard rubber grips.
Stamped on top: "X.L. Double Action 38 Cal Center Fire" Serial number appears on cylinder and frame under grip. Hopkins & Allen went bankrupt in 1898. The company was reorganized as Hopkins & Allen Arms Company. As this pistol is stamped "Hopkins & Allen Mfg. Co." it is from before the 1898 bankruptcy.
