Top barrel rib stamped "J.P. Clabrough & Bro's London Laminated Steel" It is a medium-grade gun. It is a 12-gauge, top-lever, high hammer gun, with doll's head rib extension. The bores are 13-gauge. There are no chokes (it is cylinder and cylinder), so it lacks any 1875-1887 choke proof marks. It has the three standard 1855-1904 Birmingham proof marks. The serial number is stamped on the bottom barrel rib under the fore-end, the fore-end iron, and the action flat. Walnut stock and a German silver shield stock escutcheon (on the underside of the butt stock) It is iron mounted except the butt plate, which is hard rubber with horizontal lines.
