A small Meissen saucer from Hitler's "Eagle's Nest" in Berchtesgaden. The reverse of the saucer has a tag on it with "This Meissen Plate was brought from Hitler's Eagle Nest at Berchtesgarten
by Henry J. Taylor, War Correspondent. He was the first American to enter the Eagle's Nest during World War II." The saucer hung on the wall in General McNarney's home for many years, and is mentioned as described in his inventory. The label is in Mrs. McNarney's handwriting. The saucer is in the Meissen "Red Dragon" pattern with two red dragons around the outside of the plate, and a gold rim. The plate has a wire plate hanger on it.
