Napoleonic Briquet Saber marked "Joestp" on the right ricasso. Edgett was a veterinarian in the Canadian army in WW1 and won a DSO for actions at Vimy Ridge. He later became chief of police in Vancouver. This sword was likely a souvenir from his time in France.
