.60 caliber. 33.625" octagon to round barrels. NSN. Moderatly oxidized metal, brass furniture, checkered stock with raised cheek rest. Double barrel percussion muzzleloading rifle with double triggers, scroll triggerguard, no rear sight and bead front sight. Locks marked "J Anschutz" on the right and "in Zella" on the right. Otherwise unmarked. Locks, hammers, breech and furniture all lighlty engraved by a talented hand. Two large ramrod thimbles are present under the barrels, but no ramrod is present. Sling mounting rings are present on the lower thimble and forward of the triggerguard. A nice example of a mid-19th century German double rifle.

Condition
Good. Bore moderately oxidized with good rifling and scattered pitting. Metal moderately oxidized with mottled discoloration and staining and some lightly scattered pitting. Engraving and markings remain clear. Mechanically functional action. Wood with a repaired break through the lock mortise area, otherwise with scattered bumps, dings and mars and crisp checkering.

- California Residents — California residents holding a valid Curio & Relic License may pick up eligible firearms directly from our Nevada facility; however, Nevada Gun Auctions does not ship C&R firearms directly into California. All such transactions will be handled exclusively through Guns N Ammo.
- Shipping — All Nevada Gun Auctions shipments are sent via FedEx with adult signature required and insured for 1.5% of the purchase price unless waived in writing. Shipping costs for each lot are published within the lot description. Handguns are required by law to ship via FedEx 2Day Air.
