Clone of a Colt single action army revolver made by Great Western in .44-40. Has 7.5" barrel, serial number GW20871, circa 1954-1964. Finished blue with wood grips.
Great Western's name is nowhere to be found on this piece, which is a well documented occurrence with many of their single actions. The reason for it is unclear. It can still be identified as a Great Western by the GW prefix on the serial number. During the Western craze of the 50s and 60s. The Colt single action came back into the popular zeitgeist. But Colt wasn't making them anymore. So this company was formed specifically to reproduce them to capitalize on that old west craze.
Dimensions: 13" long overall.
