Well-made six-point star badge with raised beaded border and domed ball finials, the face reading L.A. CO. above SPECIAL DEPUTY CONSTABLE and INGLEWOOD TWP., with a walking bear device at center and badge number 11 in the lower panel. The design reflects early Los Angeles County township law enforcement insignia, used during the period when constables and their deputies provided local judicial and peace officer services. The reverse bears a faint maker’s mark believed to read “CHIRON STAMP CO., 224 W. FIRST ST., LOS ANGELES.”
Dimensions approx.: 2.5 dia.

Very good, with age toning and surface wear consistent with service use. Reverse shows evidence of modification, with later pinback hardware soldered in place of the original mounting. Structurally sound and stable.
