Double action revolver with six-chambered swing out cylinder with manual star extractor grooved top strap rear sight and half moon front sight blade. Barrel marking ends with 1898 date, like a First Model .32-20 Hand Ejector and there is no lug under the barrel to secure the ejector rod, but the serial number places this gun in the serial number range of the 2nd Model of 1902 guns, which started at number 5312. This appears to be a very late 1st Model gun, probably made up using an older barrel with the older patent date markings and no lug under the barrel. A scarce, early S&W Hand Ejector. Includes an old Mexican Loop leather holster.

Fair to Good. Bore good, moderately oxidized and with some light pitting, retaining good rifling. Metal with some of the thinning and worn blue remaining, with more finish on the frame and significant wear on the barrel. Markings remain clear and legible. Not mechanically functional, cylinder is frozen and does not rotate, which may be due to old dried grease that has locked it up. Oversized stag grips are ill fitting with some light wear. Holster well worn.
