Top of chamber marked in two block letter lines “J STEVENS A & T CO./CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A.” Matching serial numbers on lower left of frame under grip and on left side of barrel, concealed by frame. The last version of the Model 41 “Tip Up” pistol, the Type 5 incorporated a thicker frame than the earlier guns with a notch rear sight in addition to the German silver blade front sight and an automatic extractor.
