A German Army officer’s dagger of the Second World War period, retaining its cream-colored ribbed grip, plated fittings, and pebbled steel scabbard. The crossguard displays the characteristic Wehrmacht eagle and swastika motif with curled quillons, while the pommel is decorated with oak leaves. The double-edged blade bears the maker’s mark for H. Kölling, Solingen at the ricasso. Retains its matching pebbled scabbard with suspension rings.
The dagger presents well overall with an untouched appearance and attractive age patina to the fittings. The blade retains much of its original brightness with scattered spotting and light wear from age and handling.
