A World War II German Army officer’s dagger featuring a deep orange celluloid grip with tight wire wrap, nickel-plated fittings, and the crossguard bearing the army eagle clutching a wreathed swastika. The pommel shows the standard oak-leaf pattern. Accompanied by its steel scabbard with pebble-textured finish and dual suspension rings. A silver bullion portepee is wrapped to the guard in the traditional manner.
The blade shows the maker’s marking Eickhorn, Solingen with the later style etched squirrel logo. Blade with the typical medial ridge and light toning from age, retaining good edges.
