German WWII Luftwaffe M40 steel combat helmet retaining its characteristic rolled edge and stamped vent construction introduced with the M40 pattern. The helmet displays a surviving Luftwaffe eagle decal on the left side and retains its original liner band and leather liner system. The shell exhibits the classic combat profile associated with German helmets of the Second World War.

Condition
Retains much of its original textured Luftwaffe blue-gray finish with honest age and handling wear throughout. The partially visible Luftwaffe eagle decal remains present on the left side, showing moderate abrasion and loss. Interior retains its original leather liner, now dry and fragile with visible cracking, separation, and losses to several tongues. Replacement or postwar chinstrap present and marked “RB Nr. 0/0990/0204.” Shell stamped “SF62” with rear lot number “6782.” Overall an honest wartime example.

All private-party purchases of modern firearms will be delivered to Guns N Ammo as soon as possible following Nevada Gun Auctions’ receipt of payment in full.
- California Residents — California residents holding a valid Curio & Relic License may pick up eligible firearms directly from our Nevada facility; however, Nevada Gun Auctions does not ship C&R firearms directly into California. All such transactions will be handled exclusively through Guns N Ammo.
- Shipping — All Nevada Gun Auctions shipments are sent via FedEx with adult signature required and insured for 1.5% of the purchase price unless waived in writing. Shipping costs for each lot are published within the lot description. Handguns are required by law to ship via FedEx 2Day Air.
