Well-made grouping of two German belt buckles, each of two-piece brass construction with applied central roundels. The first is an Imperial German Army enlisted buckle, featuring the Prussian crown above the motto “Gott Mit Uns” within an oakleaf wreath, a standard-issue design worn by soldiers from the late 19th century through World War I. The second is a Feuerwehr (fire brigade) buckle from the Third Reich period, displaying a fire helmet over crossed tools encircled by the motto “Gott zur Ehr, dem Nächsten zur Wehr,” reflecting the service role and lifesaving duties of German fire brigade personnel.
