Distinctive pair of German WWII insignia representing political leadership and combat injury recognition. The Political Leader’s Visor Cap Eagle (NSDAP) features a spread-wing eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, executed in gilt aluminum with integral prongs for cap attachment; this type was worn on the visors of National Socialist political officials as part of formal uniform insignia. The Wound Badge in Black displays a steel helmet with swastika over crossed swords within an oval laurel wreath; the reverse bears the maker’s code “L/12,” attributed to C.E. Juncker, Berlin. Instituted in 1939, the black grade was awarded for one or two wounds sustained in combat. Both pieces are die-struck examples with period-correct construction, representing political and frontline service within the Third Reich.

Dimensions approx.: 2 x 4 in., 19 grams (Visor Cap Eagle); approx. 1.75 x 1.5 in., 26 grams (Wound Badge)

Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. Shipping via FedEx Ground/Home within the continental U.S. for $30 + 1.5% insurance (unless waived in writing). Direct Signature Required. Combined lot shipping available.

Condition

Good overall, the visor eagle retaining much of its gilt finish with light wear and minor oxidation to the prongs; the Wound Badge showing expected finish loss and surface wear with age-consistent patina. Both remain structurally sound.
