Attractive grouping of four Inglewood Police–related badges, including a Police badge numbered 38, an Auxiliary Policeman badge numbered 66, a Sergeant Inglewood Police badge, and an Auxiliary Policeman badge numbered 58, each reflecting traditional California municipal badge design with raised bear or eagle crests, radiating sunburst centers, radiating sunburst devices, and applied enamel rank panels. The Police badge numbered 38 is gilt with blue enamel “POLICE” panel and detachable numerals and is reverse stamped “MAY-41 / L.A. STAMP & STATY. CO.” The Auxiliary badge numbered 66 is finished in silver tone with blue star device and blackened lettering and is unmarked. The Sergeant badge is gilt with blue enamel rank panels and chevron device and is stamped “ENTENMANN / LOS ANGELES ’15”; the reverse is engraved “GARZA.” The Auxiliary badge numbered 58 is gilt with central star device and screw-post fasteners and is unmarked. Such badges were issued to sworn officers and auxiliary personnel for official identification and rank distinction within municipal law enforcement service.
