Maker’s marks include “ENTENMANN-ROVIN CO./GENUINE ‘CARLTONE GOLD’/‘PLATILOY SILVER’/LOS ANGELES, CALIF.” on the Police Officer badge, “ENTENMANN/LOS ANGELES” on the Reserve example, “ENTENMANN-ROVIN CO./GENUINE ‘CARLTONE GOLD’/‘PLATILOY SILVER’/PICO RIVERA, CALIF.” on the Traffic Control badge, and “ENTENMANN-ROVIN CO./GENUINE ‘CARLTONE GOLD’/PICO RIVERA, CALIF.” on the Lieutenant badge. The reverse of the Lieutenant example bears hand-engraved markings including a numerical designation and the date “4/80,” consistent with departmental issue or retirement notation. These badges reflect departmental hierarchy and specialized assignments within the Inglewood Police Department during the later 20th century.
