An ornate copper powder flask manufactured by the AM Flask & Cap Co., one of the primary American flask producers of the mid-1800s. The body is decorated with rich baroque-style scrollwork and shield motifs in high relief, with a blank central panel that was often intended for monograms or dealer stamping. This flask is fitted with four suspension loops and a functional brass top. The charger is clearly stamped “AM FLASK & CAP CO,” identifying it as an authentic U.S.-made example from the percussion era, likely used with rifles or larger pistols.
