US Civil War era Side drum. They were worn on a sling to the player’s side, hence the name. This side drum bears a stenciled eagle design that was typical of the thousands of instruments produced for use by the Union army during the Civil War. The eagle is painted on a blue field and has a banner in it's beak that bears the words "REG: U.S. INFANTRY." No regimental number is painted into eagles banner, So it is unclear who used this one or if it was issued at all. Dimensions: 15.5"h x 16.5" diameter Processing and shipping within the Continental US $150. All FedEx packages are sent with Direct Signature Required and insured at full replacement value for a fee of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless buyer accepts complete liability in writing. Condition

There is crazing to varnish and paint, has some scratches and scrapes there is a crack on bottom tightener but no major damage to piece overall. Cords are fraying and breaking.
