The block is crisply stamped “COLT’S PATENT” and includes two cavities for casting both round ball and conical bullets, with an integral sprue cutter. Designed for a .44 caliber Colt Army revolver, this example demonstrates the refined precision of mid-19th century Colt armory tooling, with one screw missing from the block.
