A fine example of a Colt’s Patent bullet mold from the percussion era, constructed with brass handles and a polished steel block stamped “COLT’S PATENT.” The top of the block also bears a small stamped capital “B,” likely an internal assembly or inspector’s mark. The mold includes two cavities for casting both round ball and conical bullets and an integral sprue cutter. Designed for Colt’s .28 caliber pocket revolver, this mid-19th century mold exhibits careful fitting and quality consistent with Colt’s factory standards.
