A fine Colt’s Patent iron bullet mold from the percussion revolver era, featuring dual cavities for casting both round ball and conical projectiles. The block is neatly stamped “COLT’S PATENT” and additionally marked with the small letter “B” and the number “44A,” likely denoting factory identification for the .44 caliber Army model. The piece retains an even aged blue patina, with tight function and well-defined cavities typical of molds supplied with Colt’s 1860 Army revolvers produced in the 1850s–1860s. Dimensions approx.: 5 x 1.375 in. Provenance: The Al and Carol Cali Collection. Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. It can also be delivered to the Annex Auctions facility for pick up in Sacramento for $25 pre invoice. Shipping via FedEx within the continental U.S. for $50 + 1.5% insurance (unless waived in writing). Combined lot shipping available.

Condition

Very good overall with light surface wear and age patina; markings remain legible and cavities clean.
