Iron bullet mold marked “COLT’S PATENT” on the right block, with a small “WAT” inspector’s stamp attributed to Captain William A. Thornton on the opposite side. The mold features two cavities—one round ball and one conical—approximately .36 caliber, consistent with ammunition for Colt’s 1851 Navy revolver. The tool retains its original blued finish, showing light age mottling and scattered surface wear. The hinge and sprue cutter operate smoothly.
