CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.”. Left side of barrel roll marked “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER”. Lower left of frame with three-date in three-line patent markings and Rampant Colt logo. Matching serial numbers on butt, triggerguard and frame, cylinder unnumbered as is correct, revolver was not disassembled for further inspection. Loading gate with assembly number 5945. Smokeless powder frame, kidney shaped ejector rod head. A solid example of an early 20th century Single Action Army in a desirable caliber.

Very Good. Barrel with some traces of original blue, mostly in protected areas, with the balance a mottled gray patina with some surface oxidation and freckles of surface roughness. Cylinder with traces of blue in the flutes. Frame with a moderately oxidized mottled gray patina. Clear markings throughout. Hammer with some traces of case color. Mechanically functional action. Bore good to very good, moderately frosted with some evenly scattered pinpricking and strong rifling. Grips very good and fairly crisp, with some minor wear to the checkering.
