.22 LR. 24" barrel. SN: 88300 (mfg.ca. 1949). Blued finish, smooth pistol gripped walnut stock wtih checkered buttplate. Semi-automatic rifle fed by a tubular magazine in the butt. Features elevation adjustable leaf rear sight and dovetailed blade front sight. Standard Wincehster barrel markings. The model marking line was double rolled, resulting in the markings have a "shadowed" or "double line" appearance. A really lovely example of a Wichester .22 rifle in very fine condition.

Very Fine. Bore fine and mostly bright. Metal with most of the orginal blue intact on the recevier, with some fading and high edge wear, as well as a couple of small spots of surface oxidation. Barrel blue shows more thinning and is starting to turn plum. Markings crisp and clear, model marking double rolled, as noted. Mechanically functional action when cycled by hand. Stock fine with good edges and some lightly scattered minor marks and mars.
