16 Gauge choked Modified/Modified. 27.75" barrels. SN: 8465. Blued and color casehardend finish, checkered pistol gripped European hardwood stock with raised cheek rest and checkered splinter forend. 2.5" chambers, 13.5" length of pull, 1.5" drop at comb, 2.5" drop at heel. Finely made German hammerless side-by-side shotgun with barrels marked “F. Jäger & Co., Suhl i/Th,” indicating manufacture in the renowned Suhl gunmaking center. The action is further marked “Simson Jägerverschluss,” denoting the use of a Simson-type locking system associated with quality Suhl production. Additional marking “Feinster Schutzmarke” indicates a quality designation. The shotgun features engraved lockplates with game scene panels depicting birds in naturalistic settings, surrounded by scrollwork. Double triggers, top lever break action, and finely checkered walnut stock with cheekpiece. Barrels retain a deep, even blue finish and are fitted with a raised rib. The overall configuration reflects late 19th to early 20th century Suhl gunmaking, where specialized components were produced by noted makers and assembled into complete sporting arms.

All transfers to non-license holders will be conducted exclusively through Guns N Ammo, 1321 Hwy 395 #A, Gardnerville, NV 89410. Registration and transfer costs are as follows:

* 2–4 firearms: $50 each
* 5–9 firearms: $25 each
* 10 or more firearms: $15 each
Shipping costs within the continental United States generally range:
* Handguns: $35–40 each
* Long guns: $75–100 each
All private-party purchases of modern firearms will be delivered to Guns N Ammo as soon as possible following Nevada Gun Auctions’ receipt of payment in full.
Condition
Very Good. Fine bright bores. Retains some nice thinning original blue to the barrels with light handling wear. Action and lockplates with crisp, well-defined engraving. Wood stocks in very good condition with minor scattered handling marks and light impressions. Checkering remains sharp. Mechanically functional when operated by hand.

- Shipping — All Nevada Gun Auctions shipments are sent via FedEx with adult signature required and insured for 1.5% of the purchase price unless waived in writing. Shipping costs for each lot are published within the lot description. Handguns are required by law to ship via FedEx 2Day Air.
