Decorative fraternal sword in the Knights Templar style, featuring a straight, double-edged blade with extensive etched decoration including foliate scrollwork and Masonic symbolism. The ricasso bears the retailer’s mark “CLEMENTS MFG CO / SHEFFIELD,” indicating production tied to the well-known English cutlery center supplying fraternal regalia. The blade also displays a prominent six-pointed star motif associated with Masonic and Templar iconography. The hilt is of classic form with a pierced guard and knuckle bow, fitted with a wire-wrapped grip. The sword is accompanied by its leather-covered scabbard with metal mounts. Such swords were carried by members of Masonic Knights Templar commanderies for ceremonial use, symbolizing chivalric tradition and fraternal affiliation rather than military service.
