Well-made German cavalry saber produced by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen, as indicated by the blade marking. The saber features a gently curved, single-fullered blade of traditional form, paired with a simple steel guard and backstrap. The grip is of ribbed composite construction secured by rivets, retaining its original form and ergonomics. A leather sword knot is present at the hilt, indicative of mounted or enlisted use. The accompanying steel scabbard includes a single suspension ring. This type of saber reflects standard German cavalry patterns of the late Imperial and early 20th-century period, designed for mounted service and later retained for dress and secondary use.
