Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Badge (Flakabzeichen der Kriegsmarine), die-struck zinc alloy construction with a gilt wreath surrounding a darkened depiction of an 88mm coastal gun and sea horizon. A gilt Wehrmacht-style eagle with swastika surmounts the wreath. Reverse fitted with vertical pin-back, hinge, and catch, and stamped “SCHWERIN BERLIN” for the maker. This award was instituted in 1941 for naval personnel who distinguished themselves in coastal anti-aircraft defense. Dimensions: Approx. 2.125 x 1.625 in.
