Silvered starburst breast star with gilt and enameled central medallion. The center displays a red and white quartered shield with small lions and castles, encircled by blue enamel inscribed “AL MÉRITO EN CAMPAÑA” (For Merit in Campaign), denoting recognition for distinguished service during the Spanish Civil War. Gilt laurel wreath and crossed swords surround the medallion. Reverse fitted with horizontal pin and hook, engraved “OFFZ. SCHULZE HELMUT 8/15/36” and “FÜR KÄMPFE IN SPANIEN 1936–1939,” indicating award to a German officer for service in Spain. Dimensions: Approx. 2.75 in. diameter. Condition

Good. Silvering and gilt show darkened patina with age, enamel retains color with minor surface wear. Engraving clear and legible; pin assembly intact.
