A rare and highly collectible salesman sample tin from the Hazard Powder Company of New York, featuring embossed ribbed sides and colorful original lithographed labels on top and bottom. The top label includes the image of a hunter firing into a flock of birds, surrounded by the words “Hazard Smokeless / The Hazard Powder Co. / New York.” These miniature tins were used by sales agents to promote black and smokeless powders in the field and are prized today for their form, condition, and label graphics. Dimensions: 2 x 2 ¼ in. high Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. It can also be delivered to the Annex Auctions facility for pick up in Sacramento for $25, or shipped via FedEx or USPS within the continental U.S. for $30. All shipments include Direct Signature Required and full replacement value insurance at a rate of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless the buyer accepts full liability in writing. Combined lot shipping is typically discounted.
