A rare and early ½ pound powder tin labeled “Kentucky Sporting Powder” and “Sold by Samuel Philips.” Cylindrical form with hinged cap and visible printed text. The tin retains substantial original labeling despite oxidation and age-related wear. These small-capacity tins are highly collectible and offer a tangible link to 19th-century American firearms culture. Dimensions: 1 ¾ x 2 ¼ in. high Provenance: Al Cali Collection Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. It can also be delivered to the Annex Auctions facility for pick up in Sacramento for $25, or shipped via FedEx or USPS within the continental U.S. for $30.
