Description: Imperial Russian Model 1881 Dragoon shashka cavalry saber retaining its original brass hilt, ribbed wooden grip, and leather-covered scabbard with brass suspension ring mounts. The ricasso is dated 1910 beneath the Imperial double-headed eagle arsenal mark, with additional inspection and matching assembly marks present throughout the hilt and scabbard components. The curved single-edged blade measures approximately 34 in. and remains bright with visible polish and scattered areas of age staining near the guard. A classic late Imperial Russian cavalry pattern widely used through the First World War and into the Russian Civil War period.
