A 19th-century cane featuring a carved ivory handle in the form of a clenched fist grasping a cylindrical object, likely once a monocular or small accessory. The anatomical detail is finely rendered, showcasing subtle veins and lifelike knuckles. The handle joins to a shaft composed of alternating bands of mixed exotic hardwoods, including ebony and mahogany. Likely continental European or American in origin. Length of Shaft: 31 ¬Ω in. Length of Cane Handle: 4 in. Pickup & Shipping: This lot may be picked up free of charge in Gardnerville, NV. Shipping via FedEx Ground/Home within the continental U.S. is available for $100. All shipments include Direct Signature Required and full replacement value insurance at a rate of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless the buyer accepts full liability in writing. Combined lot shipping is typically discounted.
