An extremely fine J. Stevens of Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts falling block lever action rifle with octagonal breech and half-octagonal half round barrel. There is a large take-down bolt on the underside of the action. The barrel is specifically marked .22 Shot, which is less usual. The barrel is octagonal at the breech and for the first 7 1/2 inches. 23 1/2 inch barrel (mfg. circa pre-1919). Blued finish, walnut stock. No serial number. Provenance: Al and Carol Cali Collection.
