A richly decorated copper and brass powder flask with basketweave and foliate repoussé design, manufactured by the renowned British firm James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield. This flask features a fully marked top with stamped inscriptions: “JAMES DIXON & SONS / SHEFFIELD” on one side and “QUICK LOADING / FIRE PROOF” on the other — indicating its high-grade safety and performance construction during the percussion era. Dixon flasks were widely exported and favored by sportsmen and military officers alike for their reliability and decorative appeal. Excellent condition. Deep even patina to the copper body. Brass collar and spout with minor handling wear. Clear, sharp manufacturer markings. Spring charger present and appears functional. No visible dents or damage.
