Elegant ribbed copper powder flask with alternating bead-and-flute panels, fitted with a brass adjustable charger marked “James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield.” The firm, established in 1806, was among England’s premier manufacturers of high-quality sporting accessories, gun flasks, and silverware throughout the Victorian period. The charger is calibrated in drams for powder measure and remains fully operational. The design exemplifies Dixon’s refined workmanship—clean lines, symmetry, and precision machining typical of the firm’s export-grade sporting goods sold to both British and American markets during the mid-1800s.
