The interior liner is hand-painted with the name “Charles Sprague,” while another area retains a partially obscured inscription that is no longer fully legible. The helmet retains its original web suspension and chinstrap assembly. The shell exhibits the classic profile and construction associated with the standard M1 combat helmet carried by American servicemen throughout the Second World War.
