.357 Magnum. 4" barrel. SN: 4045 (mfg. 1954). Blued finish, checkered walnut grips with silver Rampant Colt medallions. Double action revolver with six-chambered swing out cylinder, adjustable rear sight, ramped blade front sight, wide checkered target hammer, grooved trigger and unshrouded ejector rod. Standard Colt markings. One of the rarest of the post-World War II classic Colt revolvers, the "Colt 357" was introduced in 1953/54 as Colt's primary .357 Magnum revolver, essentially an upgraded and finely tuned version of the Trooper. The introduction of the Python essentially killed the model and it was discontinued in 1961 after only about 15,000 were made. A rare Colt revolver in lovely condition.
This firearm is modern and must be shipped to a FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSE HOLDER or a CURIO AND RELICS HOLDER.

All private-party purchases of modern firearms will be delivered to Guns N Ammo as soon as possible following Nevada Gun Auctions’ receipt of payment in full.
Condition
Very Fine. Bore fine and bright. Metal with most of the finish intact with some minor fading and toning towwards plum in some areas. A very light turn ring is present on the cylinder. Markings remain clear and crisp. Action fine with a very nice trigger pull and crisp timing and indexing. Grips fine and crisp.

- Shipping — All Nevada Gun Auctions shipments are sent via FedEx with adult signature required and insured for 1.5% of the purchase price unless waived in writing. Shipping costs for each lot are published within the lot description. Handguns are required by law to ship via FedEx 2Day Air.
