Introduced in 1951, the Smith & Wesson Chiefs Special Airweight quickly became one of the most influential concealed-carry revolvers of the postwar era. Built on the compact J-frame and utilizing a lightweight alloy frame, the Model 37 offered law enforcement officers and private citizens a powerful yet easily carried five-shot revolver chambered in .38 Special. Manufactured circa 1955, this example, serial number 707659, is a desirable early production revolver retaining its original factory blue finish, checkered walnut Magna stocks with silver Smith & Wesson medallions, matching factory box, and original instruction manual. The original end label identifies the revolver as a blue-finished, 2-inch barrel, round-butt Model 37.

Shipping costs within the continental United States generally range:
* Handguns: $35–40 each
* Long guns: $75–100 each
All private-party purchases of modern firearms will be delivered to Guns N Ammo as soon as possible following Nevada Gun Auctions’ receipt of payment in full.

Near mint. Retains an exceptional original blue finish with only the lightest evidence of handling. Markings remain sharp throughout. Original stocks are excellent. Accompanied by its matching factory box and original paperwork.

- California Residents — California residents holding a valid Curio & Relic License may pick up eligible firearms directly from our Nevada facility; however, Nevada Gun Auctions does not ship C&R firearms directly into California. All such transactions will be handled exclusively through Guns N Ammo.
- Shipping — All Nevada Gun Auctions shipments are sent via FedEx with adult signature required and insured for 1.5% of the purchase price unless waived in writing. Shipping costs for each lot are published within the lot description. Handguns are required by law to ship via FedEx 2Day Air.
